I believe that to truly fight cancer, we must rethink how we operate within the healthcare system. Cancer care must be humanized. That means listening to diverse perspectives, breaking down silos, and collaborating more fully in how we care for patients across institutions, disciplines, and borders.
As an oncologist, I have dedicated my medical career to cancer research and the delivery of cutting-edge, evidence-based treatment. Yet no single provider, specialty, or institution can do this work alone. To save lives, we must be willing to set ego and ownership aside, share knowledge openly, and remain curious, critical, and collaborative in our approach to care.
This website exists as a space for dialogue and exchange. It amplifies the voices of oncologists, medical students, and researchers, shares research that is both established and emerging, and invites thoughtful discussion about best practices, unanswered questions, and where oncology must go next. Here, I offer my perspective and invite others to do the same. Take these ideas. Build on them. Challenge them. And add your own.
